|
Between Sweden’s major cities the tilting high speed train X 2000 takes you from city
centre to city centre with extremely high service level and comfortable, large seats
offering you plenty of space.

INTERCITY

The InterCity trains offer a modern, high quality day-time ride.
InterCity trains will be found all over Sweden.
Service: restaurants car or trolley service, telephone box, family car,
free coffee and Swedish newspaper in 1st Class.

INTERREGIO
|
The InterRegio train system is operating in close co-operation with the regional transport authorities and the SJ.
InterRegio traffic is to be found in different types of trains-but all of them new, modern and convenient for shorter distances.
The latest opened InterRegio route is the new "Kustpilen"
(The Coast Arrow) with 3 direct trains from Copenhagen to Hassleholm,
where you can easily change to the X 2000 for traveling further north towards Linkoping,
Norrkoping and Stockholm.
InterRegio trains also operate on the following routes:
Malmoe-Gothenburg, Malmoe-Gothenburg, Kalmar-Linkoping, Karlstad-Gothenburg,
Mjolby/Norrkoping/Vasteras/Uppsala,Mjolby-Orebro-Gavle.

NIGHT TRAINS
|
Night trains are a very convenient way of traveling in a country of Sweden’s size-more than 1600 kilometers (990 miles) long.
You can choose between your own individual sleeping compartment with toilette, shower,
hairdryer, air-conditioned a.s.o. or a compartment with two or three beds, in ladies’ and men’s versions.
Certain trains have radio and automatic wake up system.
Swedish night trains always carry a great number of sleeping-cars.
But of course also less expensive couchettes.
In the couchettes you have a choice between a mixed compartment or ladies only.

Stockholm-Ostersund/Storlien+ NSB day train connection to Trondheim,
Stockholm-Umea/Lulea/Kiruna+ NSB day train connection to Narvik,

GO TO THE CINEMA AT 120 KM/H (74mph)

On the "Nordpilen"(Northern Arrow) you can enjoy both a meal and a visit to the only cinema
coach in the world, in the combined cinema and bistro car.
The films are shown on a large screen in a cinema with up to 32 persons.
These services are available on the routes Stockholm-Lulea/Kiruna and Gothenburg-Lulea.

Reservations must be made for all trains, we recommend you to book as early as possible due to the great demand.

Non-smoking areas are available on all trains and at all stations.
In non-smoking areas, animals are not allowed.
All bedding materials in sleeping compartments are made from synthetic materials.
Animal are not allowed in sleeping compartments.
