The state-run company RENFE covers a large number of lines which connect all the regions and main cities.
RENFE together with other trains supply a range of high quality, comfort and punctuality.
Therefore in the main cities there is a local network which connects small towns.
In Madrid, there are nine lines with frequences less than 15 minutes and the punctuality is 95%.
Most of the trains supply additional services such as phone, snack bar and restaurant.
The new track Madrid-Cordoba-Sevilla high speed trains "AVE" run over 300 kilometers (186 miles) per hour.
High speed trains also seve other destinations such as Malaga, Cadiz y Huelva.
This spring a new high speed train from Valencia to barcelona will run over 200 kilometers (124 miles) per hour.
Madrid is a central station from where the traveler can easily reach any destination.
For example, from Madrid to Valencia or Alicante the journey takes 4 hours.
RENFE also supplies a night train service between several cities.
Among the large range of trains RENFE emphasize the AVE, Talgo, InterCity.
In the local network Spain has at one’s disposal the newest trains in Europe, called "Cercanias". International relations : Hotel trains between Madrid-Paris, Barcelona-Paris and Barcelona-Milan-Zurich are high quality night trains.
These trains leave at evening and arrive early in the morning.

A bus service links the airport with some different places in town.
The journey takes less than 30 minutes (by taxi it takes around 15 minutes).
